ABOUT
“Connection & storytelling are at the heart of everything we do…. or at least everything I do… mostly.”

Obsessed with learning.
Addicted to making stuff.
Certain I can do it myself.
Never satisfied with good enough.
I have always pursued a diverse range of artistic and professional endeavours and can’t help trying to find ways to bring storytelling, connection and comedy to whatever I do.
I’ve never understood the corporate culture that says seriousness and professionalism are synonymous.
Blending my experience in the entertainment industry and corporate world, my mission is to create meaningful work that generates positive impact and resonates deeply. I strive to craft stories and experiences with a female-first perspective and a strong commitment to sustainability. If that sounds vague it’s because I didn’t use AI to write this, and maybe I haven’t settled on a form to work with yet. Maybe I reject the idea that I should choose one at all!
Before
After growing up in Singapore I moved home to Australia after high school to study acting and patisserie. This was not the worlds strangest dual degree. My aim was to have a stable trade while I pursued my performing career. As it turned out – kitchens weren’t for me.
After graduating from The Actor’s Workshop in 2014, I instead pursued dual careers in performance and the corporate world, eventually finding a home in Learning & Development with Defence Force Recruiting. The world of professional training allowed me to blend my love of engaging with an audience with my thirst for knowledge. During my time as an L&D professional I was always drawn to the work that made me feel like I was making my corner of the world a little brighter. I wrote programs promoting female and indigenous inclusion in military recruitment practices and created coaching strategies that empowered people to lean into connection in the workplace.
While I had been working steadily as an actor, predominantly in theatre throughout this time, There came a moment where it was time to leave the stage behind. I had become too obsessed with being perfect and being liked which left me vulnerable to the slings and arrows of a tough industry – and saw me losing my love of the craft itself.
Then
Moving away from performance to focus on building my career as a coach, facilitator and project manager meant that I could stop obsessing about how I looked and find power in what I could create and how I could connect,
After several years, a switch to the tech sector, and a few promotions that saw me managing an international team, and building training and community engagement programs, my role was made redundant. As anyone who has caught a case of redundancy will know – it hit HARD. I felt like I was just starting to hit my stride and prove my worth – and since I was climbing the corporate ladder until then – that I had tangible proof!
After a reasonable amount of soul searching, I realised that I was no longer in the right industry and it was time to return to work that was more creatively fulfilling and aligned to my world view. The burnout I was ignoring was borne of a constant attempt to mask my personality and sometimes even ignore my core values in order to fit the box I thought I needed to be in.
Now
In 2024 I launched Yeah, I’ll Never Watch That: a Podcast for the horror curious (comedy) with my long-time friend and collaborator Jen Bush. This project has seen me learn audio and video editing and website design, among the host of other skills you need to run your own complex narrative podcast. It was reminded me how hard working I can be – in the right kind of work!
Since then, I have also launched Curative Chaos: my fantasy inspired events business and joined up with amazing team at I Drew These Pictures to return to the film world as both an actress and producer!
I also continue to run workshops and coaching sessions as a freelancer, with a core focus on communication and connection in the workplace.
